U kunt een andere computer in het netwerk toestaan toegang te krijgen tot de map Openbaar in uw Persoonlijke map. Stel de voorkeuren voor Persoonlijke bestanden delen zo in dat anderen toegang krijgen tot de inhoud van de map.

Het gnome-user-share-pakket moet geïnstalleerd zijn voordat Persoonlijke bestanden delen zichtbaar is.

Open het Activiteiten-overzicht en typ Delen.

Klik op Delen om het paneel te openen.

If the Sharing switch in the top-right of the window is set to off, switch it to on.

Als u de tekst onder Computernaamkunt bewerken, dan kunt u de naam van uw computer zoals die getoond wordt in het netwerk wijzigen

Selecteer Persoonlijk bestand delen.

Switch the Personal File Sharing switch to on. This means that other people on your current network will be able to attempt to connect to your computer and access files in your Public folder.

Er wordt een URI getoond waarmee andere computers in het netwerk toegang kunnen krijgen tot uw map Openbaar.
Beveiliging Wachtwoord vereisen

To require other people to use a password when accessing your Public folder, switch the Require Password switch to on. If you do not use this option, anyone can attempt to view your Public folder.

Deze optie is standaard uitgeschakeld, maar u kunt hem inschakelen en een veilig wachtwoord instellen.
Netwerken

The Networks section lists the networks to which you are currently connected. Use the switch next to each to choose where your personal files can be shared.
